What is the Oak Birthday Book Club?
The Oak Birthday Book Club is an opportunity to celebrate your child's birthday while supporting the Oak Library.
How does the club work?
During the month of your child's birthday Mrs. Forrest will invite your child to choose a new book from Oak's birthday book collection to be added to the Oak Library.
What does my child receive?
- A brand new book (to be donated to the library)
- First dibs on checking out the brand new book (in addition to their regular book checkouts)
- A personalized bookplate permanently affixed to the book with your child's name acknowledging their contribution
- A personalized book cover picture added to the Birthday Book Club bulletin board on the Oak Library wall
- A personalized Certificate of Appreciation from the Oak Library they can take home.
- Recognition in front of their class by Mrs. Forrest during their library time.
- The gratitude of the Oak community for contributing another book to our library!
My child has a summer birthday, can I still sign up?
Absolutely! If your child has a summer birthday they can have the book presented on their half birthday. Mrs. Forrest will track it and present it to your child during their half birthday month when they come with their class to the library.
How do I sign my child up?
- Click here to make a Birthday Book Club donation via Classroom Parent.
- Login
- Under "Store" select Birthday Book Club ($25) and add it to your cart.
- Enter your child's name, birthdate and favorite type of book.
- Checkout.
