I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to Boston to pursue my Bachelor’s degree from Boston University in film and television studies. After graduating I moved to Los Angeles to be close to family and worked with a major non-profit organization raising funds for a variety of social service programs for children and families in need. Soon after I became an Aunt for the first time and watched as my young nephew struggled to develop speech and language skills. This experience encouraged me to pursue a Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at San Jose State University where I graduated in 2014. I currently hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and am a California licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. My clinical experience includes evaluating and treating communication disorders for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), hearing impairments, receptive and expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, aphasia, dysphagia, dysarthria, acquired apraxia of speech, and cognitive-linguistic deficits. I have had the pleasure of working in the Los Altos School District since 2014 at Santa Rita School and Egan Junior High School. In my free time I enjoy trying to keep up with my 3 ½ year-old son, running, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
