Teaching is an art that requires creativity, compassion, and a lot of hard work. I started my career in Los Altos in 1998 teaching fourth grade at Oak Avenue Elementary. Since then I’ve earned my Masters in Teacher Leadership and also spent some years teaching second and third grades. In 2018, I moved to sixth grade which I currently teach - all as a teacher at Oak. At the start of each year, I welcome my new students hoping that I can help them see their potential and nurture their desire to learn. Throughout the year, I strive to help my students rise to their potential while also instilling in them the desire to take risks and take ownership of their learning. I try to build all this upon a foundation of compassion and caring for your own well-being and for others. I live in Sunnyvale and when I’m not working you can find me getting some exercise, spending time with friends or family, or perhaps working around my house or in my garden.
