PTA

Who is the Oak PTA? 

We are a parent-led volunteer non-profit organization that build connections between teachers, school staff, students, parents, neighbors and the wider community to support our students.  

What does the Oak PTA do?
 

  • We financially support Oak students by paying for their classroom supplies and materials, equipment, programs, field trips, school assemblies and more. 
  • We organize volunteers to support Oak students throughout the year.  Learn more about volunteering.
  • We build community by organizing events, programs and community outreach activities.

Why donate?

Due to a shortfall in state financial support, area schools do not receive sufficient funds to maintain many programs and activities that would enrich our students’ education. As a result, the Oak PTA must provide the financial and volunteer support to extend the curriculum provided by our school district.

The Oak PTA hosts community building events and supports educational programs including: art, music, drama, computer technology, library materials, field trips, classroom libraries, classroom supplies, recess equipment and campus improvements, among others. Your donation directly benefits Oak Avenue Elementary School and all the important programs the PTA supports. 

The Oak Avenue Elementary School PTA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID: 95-6207647).

When are PTA meetings and who attends them?

  • Anyone in the Oak community can join a PTA association meeting in person (in the Oak Multi) or online (via Zoom).  Upcoming meetings are included on the Oak Master Calendar.
  • Only PTA members can vote.  If you are not a member please consider joining.  To join click here to sign up and pay the annual dues of $20. via Classroom Parent.
  • PTA Executive meetings are for members of the PTA Executive Board only (see below). If you are interested in joining the board please contact us.

How can I get involved in PTA?

Volunteer at Oak
